The Peninsula Community Centre Inc is a registered charity (CC 19624) that operates 15 individual funded programs, & numerous unfunded programs across a broad spectrum of community welfare need, from small children’s services through to programs that assist the aged & disabled. These 15 individual programs are covered by the legal auspice / entity of the PCC Inc, but generally operate under specific service trading names / registrations, directly linked to the type of assistance provided. These programs & services are located throughout the Peninsula (Woy Woy); Gosford; Erina & Pt Clare.

The specific services & programs offered by the PCC employ approximately 120 professional staff; 40 committed volunteers & approximately 70 screened sub contractors / brokerage services.

These programs’ deliver services, support, and provide activities to approximately 6,000 people per month.  50% of these services are unfunded. The remaining 50% are funded by a combination of both State & Federal governments across seven different government departments. Transparent & open accountability of all programs & projects requires that each project be independently and professionally audited with accounts presented to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.

The PCC Inc acknowledges the support of the following government departments:

  • the Department of Community Services;
  • the Department of Health and Ageing
  • the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing (Responsible Gambling Fund);
  • the Department of Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs;
  • the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care;
  • the Department of Juvenille Justice, and
  • Centrelink - Family Assistance Office.

In summary the funded projects of the PCC are currently reliant upon approximately 60% government funding, & 40% self generated income.

The CEO, Management & staff are answerable to a volunteer 7 person Board elected by the PCC membership (approximately 500) at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). In addition to the AGM, a minimum of eight monthly General Board Meetings are conducted throughout the year. All funded programs are accountable to a specific funding body / bodies via a formalised validation / acquittal process conducted on an annual basis, which includes the submission of independently audited financial accounts.

Membership of the PCC Inc is open to all members of the local community. The Board & CEO of the PCC Inc are constantly looking to validate in a practical manner the community charter of the Organisation which acknowledges the ‘Local Community’ as the key stakeholders and primary focus of all programs & activities. This ethos to remain ‘Community Engaged ~ Community Driven’ is the concise summation of the Peninsula Community Centre Incorporated’s Mission & Vision statements and outlook.
