PCC Inc Volunteer Board

Board members are elected through a formal Annual General Meeting process.  All Board members are voluntary representatives of the community with no Board member being paid for performing their extensive volunteers duties.  These volunteer duties include daily involvement / consultation in Centre and program activities in addition to the minimum 8 General Board Meetings (average 3 hrs each meeting) per year.

Katie Smith (President)

Katie Smith has been a solicitor on the Peninsula for over 20 years, with 12 as an accredited specialist.  She has also been a member of the PCC Board for over 10 years.  For more information regarding Katie, please go to her website at: www.weststreetlegalservices.com.au

Rhonda Mitchell (Secretary)

Rhonda has been a member of the community centre for 18 years, and Board member for 12 years.  She has been the coordinator for the School of Learning for 14 years, and is always willing to help and assist other members of the centre.

Max Brigden

A retired local butcher of the district, managing a butcher shop in Woy Woy (Frazier Lee's), and another 10 years in Ettalong.  Max has lived on the coast since 1967, and has been a loyal Board member for 8 years, 3 years of which Max was Treasurer. 

Gordon Ward

Gordon James Ward was elected Director of the PCC for 2006.  I have lived on the Woy Woy Peninsula for the past 37 years.  In the 70's, I was a Junior Soccer Coach for the Umina Soccer Club.  I am a past President of the Central Coast Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.  During my time on the peninsula I have owned and successfully operated three businesses.  My last 23 years of working life was that of a Police Officer with the New South Wales Police Force.  I'm now a volunteer bus driver with the Before and After School Care and the Vacation Care programmes.

Ron Thomsen

Ron is a retired corporate financier, with 40 years banking experience. He has held general management positions with Westpac and Banque Nationale de Paris, gaining wide ranging experience in project/structured finance & providing corporate advice. In retirement, Ron has undertaken volunteer activities with various community organisations, & is a director on 6 Boards of not for profit organisations on the Central Coast.
