COMPLETE CARE AGED SERVICES

Complete Care Aged Services is a provider of Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs) funded by the Department of Health and Ageing. Complete Care Aged Services provide 80 packages of care to the frail aged living in the Local Gosford Area. A package of care is individually designed and tailored to meet each Care Recipients needs, assisting them to remain living independently in their own homes in the community.

Complete Care Aged Services specific goals are to improve the quality of life for all of the care recipients, to prevent inappropriate admission into a residential care facility, and to maintain Client dignity and confidentiality at all times. The aim of Complete Care Aged Services is to provide a very flexible, reliable and caring service that recognises client needs and preferences, be they physical, cultural, cognitive or otherwise.  The packages are structured recognising level, extent and type of care need and any related subtleties necessary for successful care provision.

A Case Manager and Aged Care Assistants are employed by this Organisation to ensure the quality provision of the CACP. On average, each care recipient receives approximately 4 – 6.5 hours of care, over two or more rostered care sessions, per week.  An affordance and agreeable fortnightly fee will be decided upon by the care recipient and the Manager (based on 17.5% of the current Aged Pension). The type of services that each care recipients may receive as part of a care package include:-

Personal care  Medication monitoring Light gardening
Showering/dressing Advocacy Minor home maintenance
Meal preparation Assistance with banking Respite for primary carer
Shopping Transport Companionship
Housekeeping/laundry Mobility assistance Social activities

To be eligible to receive a CACP, a person must first be assessed by the region’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The ACAT will determine whether a package of care is suitable, or whether another Service would be more appropriate.
