The Peninsula Community Centre operates a Family Day Care Service, which is licensed by the Department of Community Services. The Peninsula & District Family Day Care Scheme is funded by the Australian Government under the Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations. Child Care Benefits are available through the Family Assistance Office.

• Carers are monitored & supported by qualified experienced staff at the Co-ordination Unit.

Peninsula & District Family Day Care are committed to excellent practice to ensure the best possible social & learning outcomes for children.  Family Day Carers work in partnership with Scheme Coordination Unit staff & families to provide an experience for children which enhances their individual strengths, interests & unique family backgrounds.

The support of the Co-ordination Unit team ensures that Carers are resourced, trained and provided with current child care practices. The Co-ordination Unit monitors the child care placement and visits the carer and children on a regular basis ensuring high quality care.
