SERVICES & ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 Peninsula & District Occasional Child Care: Quality, licenced and professional child care for children 6 weeks to 6 years. Educational and developmentally age appropriate program daily. Each child is cared for as an individual. Program includes art/craft, language and stories, indoor and outdoor play, with activities for all areas of development ie, cognitive, social, emotional and physical. Children need to bring fruit for morning and afternoon tea, a nutritional lunch and drink, a change of clothes and a hat all year round. All staff have in-service training in many aspects of child care.
Peninsula & District Family Day Care: Family Day Care provides quality home-based care for small groups of children (ages 6 weeks to 12 years) in licenced Carer's homes. Care is available for parents who are working, studying or just need time in. Hours are flexible 7 days a week and Government Child Care Benefits are available for eligible families.
Playgroup: Parents and children enjoy a morning of craft, stories, games and activities. A Co-ordinator is in attendance to assist with Activities and programming. A social morning for parents and children. Organised excursions from time to time, bring your own morning tea.
Preschoolers & Parents Playgroup turning 4-5 years old: A fun educational afternoon for children 4 and 5 and their parents, with age appropriate developmental programs. Includes indoor and outdoor activities, story, language, music, art and craft activities. Children are asked to bring a piece of fruit and a drink, coffee and tea will be provided for parents.
Kindy Gym: A fun environment with parental participation which promotes self-discovery and individuality, whilst developing balance, large and small gross motor co-ordination. Movement to music, language skills and group activities. A visual, tactile and oral experience. Encompassing a different theme every week.
Peninsula Dance & Theatre School: Conducts classes for all ages and degrees of skill for fun and the serious student from 3 yrs to adult. Classes in R.A.D., Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Drama and Musical Theatre, annual pantomime and eisteddfod work. Boys classes - 3 years to adults. Qualified teachers.
Peninsula - Woy Woy Recreation Physical Culture Club: Everyone welcome - from babies to ladies. Physical Culture is a jazz/dance exercise activity which increases deportment, flexibility & co-ordination in a warm friendly atmosphere. It involves individual & teamwork development which promotes self confidence, grace and strength which aids in balance, rhythm and musical interpretation skills. Our two qualified teachers, Maureen Summons & Robyn Stephen, have had many successful years of experience in teaching at 'A Grade Level'.
